Help! "I'm Nothing Without You"

How do you do this quest? Me and my friend always get OverPowered by the ELITES. I find it unfair that the enemies start with elites that can be produce really fast.

The only way i was able to beat it was a few builds back.

You have to spawn on a map with the "chokepoint" mountains, the one that has a central passage, but is the only way to get into your base.

Wall up the hole between the mountains, and start building towers. One person should be teching to palintonons or ballistas.

I focused on building troops and towers to defend the pass, my partner built the defenses.

Also interesting of not is that you can cast consumable bandit fortresses up on the mountains overlooking the pass, they will be invincible for all intents and purposes.

|||I spammed towers around my TC but couldn't keep my troops up, my partner got attacked 1st so that gave me a headstart. I was doing ok but the constant attacks crippled my eco and eventually I was attacked from three sides and the punks just didn't die... I had alot (ALOT) of towers up but ai spammed pelts and those crazy antirange cavs.|||I just used hypaspists at the start to counter their first attacks. Then started pumping toxotes from 2 archery ranges with hoplites as a meatshield and eventually boomed to upgraded hippikons and ran them over.
|||yea this quest is very hard wich makes it fun. its the first quest you get that is really hard but it is possible so hope they dont nerve it

Damn, yesterday i played with a guy and we played a lot of games, i recorded some but not those missions. There are some tricks there, if i get another chance to make the video i will upload it and post here :P

Forts work well for taking down elites, if you can get a couple of forts up along your frontline (ie. where you're building your defensive line), you should find them easier to deal with. The forts will take quite a bit of beating before they go down... and the more you have the better, because the cost of 3-4 forts is far less then what you'd spend fighting them off with units..

Villagers make good distractions to, if you find the units are hitting the fort quite hard, run a villager or two by the units and they'll stop attacking and go after the villager instead, so just keep him running around and around, by the fort(don't let him get hit) and they'll be dealt with in no time..

I can't say I found/find any of the co-op quests to be difficult in any such way minus the repeatable "You Complete Me", which I'm fairly sure is impossible.

Basically, if you EVER have the choke-hold mountain map, just build wood and stone, get a wall up at the choke point, have you and your partner put up 3 towers each on the wall. That defense will hold you until you can build castles, once you can build castles, just each put down one and maybe 1-2 more towers, depending on how hard you got hit. You will be absolutey 100% clear after that. I literally went afk after we built castles for a couple of minutes and nothing changed. Once the castles are down, just build w/e army you want. Once you have your army you can just trample them. Hell, build all Peltasts and Pandromes for all I care, you'll still win.

This win shouldn't take more than 30min.
