|||I just watched the 2 parts... It's soo embarassing and low level not high level lol. Like rallying my peltasts away from the fight.. though to be fair i was busy microing away from the hoard of saris D:|||@Soulsky LOL! u are too modest... lol|||Nice, subbed =)|||
My scout had more LOS than a standard watch post - so I could see water as soon as the map was shown. Went stright to build a dock. Its amazing that I lasted that long against S0ulSky - definitely got lucky that game :D
The watch post situation is ridiculous - Its just as good as turning visibility on for the map. I had full view of what your base was doing, you had full view of what my base was doing :) I think watch posts should have much less health. Currently they take a whole minute to destroy with 3 spearmen with epic gear! I think for the huge LOS they provide, they should come down in a few hits from a scout...
|||Nice one, how do you observe other people's matches btw?|||Yeah they're overpowered. I do like to build 2 watctowers in my own base in age 2 though, and then send 1 villager to kill enemy ones. Villagers kill buildings miles faster than spearmen.|||
Nice one, how do you observe other people's matches btw?
It was set as a 2v1, and the person who was recording just didn't play (you'll notice his base on the map)
|||Yeah I noticed that later, at first I assumed it was the other person's base
Would be cool to be able to observe battles though, obviously with some chat restrictions
|||Hey guys!
I am looking for someone who think he/she might be able to win in a 1 v 1 vs Soulsky. I'll be on today after 1p.m pacific standard time to do a live recording. =] The video will be featured on my channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/iLoveAOEonline

hello wudi.i watched some of your videos however i cannot understand how to defend against rushes.if my enemy in a pvp match is a rusher,i am doomed .help me
|||Dear TouchiestLake85,
That is a good question. I believe some of the higher level players such as IBubble, Yoncore, S0ulsky,Themistaaot is more knowledgeable than me to this question. I will try my best to cover your question from what I experienced and seen. (note to others: feel free to add more)
Scouting - Scouting is VERY VERY important. Good players tends to build watch post very early to monitor the enemy base. This help you see what exactly is coming so you can counter your enemy effectively.
Build your military facilities early - I see many newer players build their Barracks or Archer range way to late. You want to pop out some military units early because you can use them offensively and defensively! Your best offense is literally your best defense!
Level up - If your opponent is lvl 30 and you are lvl 20. He should own you because there is a huge gap in equipment and skill points.
Do your research - Watch more videos and read the forums. Knowledge is power my friend. =]
Play more - I love this one. =] and it should be pretty
self explainable. (Practice makes perfect, don't be afraid to get owned!
I personally rather play against experienced players and get stomped so
I can learn from my matches.)
If you want I can always walk you through a game or to via skype. =]
Best of luck,
-EmpireWudi
P.s I will be uploading some rush videos tomorrow from one of the top players in AoEo atm. Stay tuned! ^__^
