Likewise, and i can't even see how this quest is possible on elite, short of boring yourself to death running guys round in circles to stop the elites slaughering the priests.
Perhaps it's just me, but my priests seem to take forever to convert anything at all, i cannot convert fast enough to come even close to doing this quest.
Any tips from people who may have done this quest on Elite?
|||The first couple of times I tried this quest last night I was unable to convert enemy troops fast enough, on the third try I converted the first three enemies to arrive and then waited for more to come but nothing happened until the counter hit 0 when the allied army gets slaughtered at the enemey camp but no other enemeis came to the city after the first three spearman.|||well, from what i could tell, elites take two to three times longer to convert then normal counterparts, so your gonna have to keep them distracted for a while|||

Yeah, mine too. There is gear that gives +Infantry Conversion Rate, so perhaps we should be looking for the best one of those. At the moment I have that Golden Ankh item, I believe it only gives +Healing, maybe +Speed.
All right so after numerous restarts I managed to figure out how to trigger this bug.
As to how to beat it on Elite mode - comes down to relaizing that you have 3 different types of priest with 3 different ways of using them (one heals in a radius regardless of units being in combat, oneconverts all mobs in a radius, one single-target converts at long range)- sort out who does what and learn to pick off mobs at a safe distance and to do so fast enough to save the palace in time (mad micro management skills required).
I'd imagine having tech in priest star tech would help (I do not have anything in priests aside fom opening up the unit)
|||I just did this quest on normal difficulty. The first time I got stomped by camels & elephants, but that's probably fine. The second time however, much like the OP, only 2 spearmen ever came within site of the ally town, from then on I just watched the clock tick down for the remaining 14 minutes, out of the 15 minutes for the whole quest... Got to be a bug or the random factor gone far astray. Either way needs to be worked out, unless we are supposed to be completing quests while watching TV in another room.
