Elite Guard Counter Stuck at 1/10 even though I killed everything on the map.

|||You may have to kill them in a different order, this is a known bug for some quests.

I had the same problem twice, which really incensed me because a) this mission can be really hard when they start throwing waves of guys at you pretty early, and b) I actually managed to hang on and clear the map. The counter stayed stuck at 2.
I think it might have been because Achilles died - I assume keeping him alive must be a victory condition, even though it's not listed in the quest objectives, and it doesn't say you've failed if he dies. This can be frustrating early in the mission, when you're barely hanging on while they throw waves at you, because Achilles doesn't have much health, and can get lost in the fray. I actually moved him to a far corner of my base, and just left him there for the whole mission.

I am having the exact same problem as you have.
This mission and Homer run. Stuck on both and cant be bothered to play any again before potential solution.
|||I assure you, Achilles death means nothing in this quest. I used him to scout the map and got killed quite early, but the counter was ok.
