hello everyone.when i play pvp (and i play a lot :P) my basic strategy is to create a small force of either cavalry or archers and attack the enemy villagers quickly (at around the 6th minute) in order to slow down his economy.when this rushing strategy doesn't work i usually go for fast golden age in order to build hipikon and ballistas. i would love toknow what your personal strategy is and if you could shae some tips.thanks in advance.
p.s. sorry for my bad english

^___^
Sorry, but attacking at 6 minutes isn't really a rush. That's around the normal time for attacks to start.
I normally like to do(granted it's a slower strategy and vulnerable to fast rushes but it leads for a better economy in the early game):
Upon start build a storehouse next to largest berry bush, and queue up vills.
Vill #4 to wood to gather the needed res(like 5-10 wood) to research pickers glove. Then he goes to berries.
#5 to berries
#6-12 on wood(# 6-7 build storehouse next to forest) - (if I'm going to train Sarrass I'll probably have more vills on berries than I would have had on wood.)
#13-15 on gold(#13-14 build storehouse next to gold mine)
Age up to age 2, and send a vill from wood/berries to build 1-2 houses.
Upon reaching age 2 drop the 2 military buildings(at least 1 is a stable) and then produce units to harrass his econ. Build more military buildings as resources allow.
|||Is it wrong to maybe try and mix alittle of it all together,...like rushing, booming, and turtling? I try to stick to 1 stratigy and sometimes try to or have to imprivise?
And is all game play, refering to this and other related topics, only apply to lev40? Does it really matter if not everyone is going to buy a premium civ because there will be less competition out there? Pvp's might not like that to much....
|||I dunno, the rushoomtle strategy generally doesn't work too well.|||right on|||So let me ask this, how does everyone like to use their scout in a match? How important is it to you? Myself I liked to use scout to gather resources and put on early harrasment on opponent. I value scout highly, i liked to go to my general store and pick up extra and I often put multiple scouts into play frequntly. It opened up map quicker and gathered resources faster. =)|||
the scout is the most important: for stop a enemy rush, to see cows and resources, to stop enemy buildings in progress (if only one villager is building), and most important: for make anti-units. (if the enemy makes archers, u make horses.)
AND STEALING COWS, LOL
|||"So let me ask this, how does everyone like to use their scout in a match"
two words: Tower Slayer.
noosepole FTW :D
|||Gosh i cant wait to try one of those out :)|||Noosepole is powerful but out of all the scout specials this oneguaranteesdeath of scout most openly. I like to have mine alive to the last second (unless I have to sacrifice him in a early rush/def).|||So the LOS upgrade would be better? Presumably at lev 40 Im guessing would be best?|||It depends on what role you use your scout in and how you play. For eg fragment is awesome for late game overseer of big battles and grinding for mappossession with your opponentwith its huge LOS. You can also gear to see an opponents TC and most his base with a scout infront of his base if you can keep him close enough/alive. I use speed though, much for useful for rushing/raiding in early to mid game imo. Especially if it is an open map with an opponent equal in skill, the insane movement speed lets you cover everything/more ground at any time without sacrificing important early game wood on static watchposts looking at one part of the map. Either of these make your scout pretty much invincible if you have good control of it.
