Help-a-noob, Please?.. Stuck on Nubian Level

Hey Guys,

So far loving the game but for some reason this morning just couldn't figure out how to actually start the Nubian level. I have traveled thru the map and talked to the trader at the proper location but no villagers will respond to my instructions.. Grrrr.. If anybody wants to give me a hint in right directions then I will be most grateful and maybe later on my humble subjects will be able to compensate your nations wisdom with some in-game resources??? Hmmm??? Thanks.

The nubian level is actually a city like your home city... If you have talked to the trader, open up your quest map and you will see new quests that you collected in nubia in the scrollbox on the left hand side of the screen. It an overworld location.

I think thats what you were asking.

If by any chance you are on the quest, "Help the Nubian Trader" and are referring to the yellow colored villagers that are on the map (which you are supposed to rescue), the key to getting them is to bring a unit you control next to them, then they will convert to being controllable by you.

Hope that is helpful, if not post a bit more info about the specifics, its not entirely clear which quest or level you are referring to.

Yeah, right after I posted this. I went back into AOE online and figured out what was wrong.. I did talk to the trader in Nubia and was stuck at his home city.. What I did was go back to map and after staring at it for couple minutes clicked on little un-noticeable dot and then BAM.. I was were I was supposed to be and the mission was a GO!!!

---if any game testers and developers are reading this, I would suggest a tiny patch to the Map interface. Need to make certain missions or cities blink or something... Because I am adult gamer with experience with PC AOE and I was tiny bit confused with interface. I feel sorry for the newbie's that will be visiting the game in future.. Just saying---

I also need help on this level, after saving the villagers I load them on the boat but nothing happens, what am I supposed to do,

I did al the other objectives. do I need to sail somewhere with my boat?

|||There should be a corral near your starting area that has a large blue bouncing arrow pointing down toward a spot inside said corral. Move the boat to the shore adjacent to the corral, unload the rescued villagers, and direct them to the blue arrow. That should satisfy the win condition.|||

In game chat, I keep seeing people asking "help, I cant rescue those civilains, caravans" etc. I mean seriously... What were they thinking that giant blue arrow is?!

And, dear OP, you can directly start a quest without clicking on dots at the map by choosing them from the list in the same map screen, top left.
